Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
AnswerLens ("we," "us," or "our") operates the AnswerLens AI visibility monitoring platform at answerlens.co. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

2. Data We Collect
Account data: email address, password hash (via Supabase Auth), and — if you sign in with Google — your Google account name and profile picture URL.
Brand data: company name and website domain you provide when running an audit.
Audit results: AI engine responses, visibility scores, citation data, and recommendations generated when we run an audit on your brand. These are stored so you can view historical trends.
Billing data: subscription plan, billing status, and Paddle customer / subscription IDs. We do not store full card numbers — payment processing is handled entirely by Paddle.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, and general interaction logs, collected via our analytics provider (Google Analytics 4, if enabled).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To run AI visibility audits on your brand and display results in your dashboard.
- To process subscription payments and send billing-related emails.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, audit notifications).
- To improve the Service through aggregate, anonymised usage analysis.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
4. Sub-processors
We share data with the following providers to operate the Service:

5. Cookies and Tracking
We use session cookies set by Supabase to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary and cannot be opted out of while using the Service. If Google Analytics is enabled, it sets additional cookies to measure usage; you can block these via your browser settings or an ad blocker.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and audit data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated audit data (no personal identifiers) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. International Transfers
Our infrastructure is primarily hosted in the United States (Supabase, Vercel). If you are located in the EEA or UK, your data is transferred under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards as provided by our sub-processors.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
